The importance of agencies that work with real people.

What we see online often does not reflect the diversity and variety of real bodies and lifestyles. Social media frequently presents an idealised view of society, with perfect photos and beauty stereotypes.

In the advertising and fashion field, we have started to look for profiles that are more representative of today's society and it is becoming easier to find agencies like ours that work with real people.

Being a model is not just about signing up with an agency or doing photo shoots for Instagram. Nor is it just about generating content for brands or being trained as a model. Being a model involves a balance between all of these aspects and it's more complex than it seems at first glance.

If you want to be a model, be aware that it goes far beyond physical appearance and involves a combination of image, professional attitude, adaptability and perseverance. It is a path that requires effort, time and constant work.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN AND IMPLY TO BE A MODEL

Modelling means putting aside your personal preferences and tastes in terms of clothing, make-up and personal style. It is a job where you must be willing to follow the instructions and requirements of the client and to adapt to the demands of each project.

While some adaptability is required, authenticity and naturalness are also valued in the modelling world. Clients are looking for models who transmit confidence and are able to connect with the public genuinely.

The road to success as a model

Developing as a model is not easy. It means going to a lot of auditions where the competition is fierce, and having to face rejection on many occasions. Being a model can also be physically demanding, requiring hours of repetition of actions, such as walking in heels, or maintaining good physical condition.

Modelling involves a combination of skills, including adaptability, perseverance, discipline and self-confidence. It is important to be prepared for challenges and to maintain a professional attitude at all times.

If you are up for the challenge and passionate about the world of modelling and acting, this can be an exciting and rewarding path full of opportunities to express your creativity and personal style in the fashion and advertising industries.

MODELLING AGENCIES, WHAT TYPES ARE THERE?

Within the world of modelling we find different categories of models and agencies specialising in each of them.

Agencies act as intermediaries between models and clients, facilitating the search for work opportunities and providing professional advice.

On the one hand, there are the fashion agencies. Fashion and runway models usually work in magazine editorials, fashion shows, e-commerce sessions, etc. These agencies usually have specific requirements, such as "standard measurements" or certain minimum heights.

Representation agencies

On the other hand, we are the agencies that represent models, actors and commercial talent. Advertising models, also known as talent, focus on working in commercials, TV spots, ad campaigns and other advertising-related projects.

In talent representation agencies, we work with a wide variety of people and looks to suit the different styles and needs of our clients. As well as models and talent, representation agencies also work on fiction projects, such as series and films.

Finally, there are the agencies of figuration. Figuration consists of appearing as extras or in the background of films, television series, commercials, music videos and other audiovisual projects.
